The Unnamed Women: the Woman at the Well, the Hemorrhaging Woman, the Prostitute – “Hungry for Humility”
“But let all who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice.” Psalm 5:11
Meet some women who rejoiced in the Lord – right there in His presence. They were very much like the women of today’s society – battered, bruised, poverty-stricken, striving to make ends met…hungry for acceptance and love. They came with their hands empty, and left with everything they ever needed! People today walk about with their plates full of life, disenchanted, saying “Yep, this is just the way it is, and the way it will always be.” They see no hope for change. They see the way it was with their parents, and they expect the same for their children. They just accept a mediocre life. But John 10:10 tells us that “Jesus came so that we may have life more abundantly!” More joy, more hope, more adventure… more than what we could ever imagine!
