FTVM’s fall theme: “A Safe Haven to BE STILL”
Be intentional about your faith, strength, and rest!
Psalm 46:10, Exodus 14:14, and 2 Chron 20:13 encourage us to step back and be still, but know that “waiting” is not doing nothing, but rather intentionally expecting, looking and longing for God to appear/answer/guide.
John 15:5-6 tells us that “Apart from Me, you can do NOTHING” – so why are you trying to do things without Him?
Isaiah 40:31 describes how:
Waiting on God gives you strength and grows your faith TO DO what God will soon tell you to do/be
Waiting is spending TIME in His presence, getting strength and wisdom so you will be ready
Waiting is EXPECTING Him and what He will do
The longer you wait with God, the less you walk by feelings. You DO and WALK by faith without questioning.
As you come to the Vineyard this fall, we are praying you will CHOOSE to be still amidst your busy life, taking time to grow your faith and footing so you can DO all that is needed daily!
